Dr Rica Viljoen
Managing Director (DBL)

Dr Rica Viljoen is an oganisational design practitioner & specialist consultant who specialises in sustainable organisational transformation, strategy formulation and leadership optimisation.  She is the founder and co-owner of Mandala Consulting Pty Ltd. With more than 16 years consulting & facilitation experience nationally & internationally her expertise lies in organisational culture changes, cultural integration during mergers and acquisitions and translation of strategy, invarious industries such as mining, banking, financial services, health and transport.  Rica completed her Doctorate in Business Leadership.  The focus and unique contribution of her doctorate is on sustainable organisational transformation through inclusivity. Her thesis was acknowledged as one of the ten most promising contributions internationally to the field of management by the Academy of Management in 2008.  She lectures as a senior lecturer at the Da Vinci Institute for Technology and Innovation and at the leadership department of the University of Johannesburg.  She developed the Benchmark of Engagement (www.beq.co.za) that measures the willingness of individuals to contribute to business strategy and the pre-requisites for sustainable business performance. This instrument is currently  administered  in  19  different countries.  She is accredited to use various psychometric tools and to facilitate Rogerian, humanistic and psycho-analytical evens applying methodologies such as dialoguing, world café methodology, storytelling, strategic conversations and Appreciative Inquiry.  Rica has successfully coached various prominent business leaders in the South African and International business context.

Stefan Viljoen
Financial and Project Manager

Stefan Viljoen has a vast knowledge of organisational development, business management and management practices, gained from his various qualifications, including a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Business Management, a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Strategic Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice, and his current Masters of Commerce Degree in Business Management. In addition, Stefan has eight years’ experience working within a business consulting environment. Stefan is an expert in managing complex client interactions while proactively engaging with all internal and external stakeholders in order to influence the outcome of a project. He is strategically involved in business management, where his unique combination of financial knowledge, people management abilities and understanding of business see him stand out amongst his peers.

Ruan Viljoen
Psychometric Coordinator

Ruan Viljoen is a professional organisational development practitioner. He specialises in Rogerian, Humanistic and psycho-analytical group process facilitation. With more than 6 years consulting and facilitation experience, Ruan is a sought after facilitator and project leader. Ruan is personally trained by Dr Don Beck and Dr Loraine Laubscher in spiral dynamics and adaptive intelligence. He is an expert on the Change State Indicator and Psychological Map instruments that describe adaptive intelligence. His unique contribution to the field of study of multiculturalism lies in generational theory. Ruan successfully implemented various transformational processes of which the most recent is in the health care industry. Additionally to his Bachelor’s degree (majors in Industrial Psychology, Marketing and International Relations), Ruan has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice with Henley Business School.

Dr. Loraine Laubscher
Specialist Facilitator:  Value Circles and Spiral Dynamic

Formerly Director Spiral Dynamics CC; Managing Director of SA Value Circles (Pty) Ltd; Associate of National Value Center – Texas; Principal of National Value Center South Africa and was First Recipient: Clare Graves Integral Award (Dallas, 2000). Loraine is one of the most experienced users of Spiral Dynamics globally. She is renowned for her ability to apply Spiral Dynamics practically and with lasting results.
Her easy and accessible communication style enable her to share sound and practical problem-solving, thinking- and conflict resolution skills with employees at all levels in the organisation. Her research interests include effective work place forums, diversity management, personnel and organisational change. As a consultant, Loraine has a background in thinking skills and problem solving training, marketing information research, sales training with specialisation in exhibition selling, tele-prospecting, sales management of both wholesale and retail organisations, as well as the management of changing  people’s outlook and identifying organisation structures that will work. She has delivered papers at conferences in the United States of America and Brazil on Value Circles as an accelerated learning method.

Joyce Toendepi

Joyce is an expert researcher and strategic planner. She is known to devise and promote innovative solutions that challenge mainstream thinking and works well independently and in teams. Joyce is adept at negotiation, communication and multi-cultural research. She is a confident leader in market and industry analysis to position the business for market leadership. Joyce completed her award winnning PhD thesis at The Da Vinci Insitute for Innovation and Technology, holds a MBA in strategic planning and is currently busy with integral research as part of a Mphil in Leadership in Emerging Economies.

Dr Riana (A.B.) Smith

Dr Riana is seasoned executive with multi-disciplinary experience in all aspects of strategic and operational human resources management and specialised expertise in policy and systems development, corporate learning, leadership development, performance and succession management, transformation, employee relations and nationalisation. She as a history of executing large-scale change management initiatives to ensure sustainable organisational success. Her leadership experience extends to corporate communications including brand marketing, stakeholder management, external and internal communications. She is highly motivated with an outstanding academic background and a commitment to continued learning and professional development.

Riana is taking over the psychometric practice of Mandala Consulting.
